Hello! It's now the start of November, into colder months indeed! We're reaching the end of the year already- doesn't time fly so fast?
To start off with this journal, we'd like to welcome and introduce our newest members!
Some of you have already started to submit your pieces, and we hope to see more!
---
In addition, we have a group challenge! For those who already take a look, we have IMPROVISED the criteria so that it's more loose and may be easier for some of you, because now we accept OCs!
We hope to see your submissions!
---
Speaking of submissions, we have received plenty this month, and have several to feature! Why don't we take a look?
---
To me, this scene looks intensely romantic.. haha. The lights and colors look bright, and it looks like the two people are in their own little world and don't care about whatever else is happening outside of that. The top left being light blue-green similar to the guy's hair and the bottom gradually changing to purple and pink are more nice details I like.
As said by BlueBlazingSpirit, I love how you seem to wrap them up in their own world of romance, regardless what happens outside. I love how colourful this is as well.
☆★☆
The girl's pose and the shading look well done. I like how her hair and how the water was drawn. I also watched the first episode and the trailer episodes, and I think the animation and story is pretty good for the most part so far. I like it.
As BlueBlazingSpirit mentioned, the flow is really good! I like the water drawn here, and the story so far looks good- keep it up!
☆★☆
The style of this is so cute! I like the starry and magical feel in this piece shown by the background and the character's outfit.
☆★☆
Though it is rather short, it goes into detail about how the writer feels about ice skating during the night. I like what it says about skating on frozen memories, and the transition from darkness to light.
☆★☆
Bright and vivid, ever so eye catching. I love how you did the hair especially- keep up the improvement!!
☆★☆

The angle of the guy's face makes it look like he's looking straight at the viewer. I like how the face looks. The lighting in the background that makes the clouds look pink also looks gorgeous.
☆★☆
This creature looks cute and creative. I like the colors and how its face looks.
☆★☆

In monochrome I think this picture somewhat looks like an old B&W photo, if not, it carries the feel of it. I like how you took care to colour each thing differently, giving them each a texture, and the attention to the little details, like the wood and patterns in their clothing, helps bring this picture to life. Lovely work!
☆★☆
This looks so enchanting, and even though the colours are repetitive of blues, the colours flow well together with the surroundings. I love how the hair flows and the theme of crystals and snowflakes.
☆★☆
I love what you did with the prompt- long hair, long dress, long scarf, tall candles. How you decorated the picture with an arc and patterns seem to add more elegance. Nice work!

There were lots of amazing arts to look through, and the featured pieces above will be moved to the Featured folder soon. If you think a piece should be nominated, please do so in the comments or sending us a note!
Also, the front page has been modified ever so slightly. Regardless, we expect all members to follow the group rules! Moderation is still on the go, and we would like to remind members that we do not accept commissions journals or adoptables in the group that serves for advertising for profit and will be declined. If there are any items that you're unsure where to submit it to, we recommend having your artwork added to the Sorting File where the admins will move the artwork around later on.
Lastly, don't forget to check on the FOURTH GROUP CHALLENGE EVENT! It closes this November!
That's all for now. We wish you all a pleasant month. Enjoy your day!

WDoS GCE #4Hello! This event is officially CLOSED! Thank you!
Hello! Welcome to We-Dream-of-Stars's fourth GROUP CHALLENGE EVENT (GCE)! Today is Canadian thanksgiving, a day to give thanks for the blessing of the harvest, but is has long been associated about giving thanks to what we're grateful for.
EDIT: EXTENDED THE DEADLINE! The past week must have been busy for many! With Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday...
With this theme in mind, think back to the year, or your life. Whether it be you or your character, what is something, or the few/many things in life, that you're grateful for?
This GCE's Prompt
Show us what you or your fictional characters are thankful for! It can be a photograph, a sketch or drawing on the item or an interaction with what you're thankful for! Tell us why in the deviation description you're thankful for what it is.
Make sure you place in the description it's an entry for the GCE!

Midnight DanceI put on my ice skates and danced
on my frozen memories
Black as night they reflected
the faint light of distant stars
And so from star to star I danced
through the darkness
Until all I saw was light
and the darkness was no more
